DATE: 06/28/2014 Dear Hillary [Hall, Clerk email: hhall@bouldercounty.org ] and Dwight [Shellman, CO SOS office email: Dwight.Shellman@SOS.STATE.CO.US ], Mr. Remmert reports that none of the online voter registration transactions that he completed during June have been posted to his online voter record. 1. On June 9th he changed his affiliation from LIB to ACN. 2. On June 27th, to work around a defect in the online voter registration system and accelerate affiliation for purposes of serving on the canvass board, he withdrew his voter registration using a paper form. 3. On June 27th, continuing to work around the defect, he registered to vote using a paper form. As of this morning, June 28th, none of these transactions are reflected in his online record. Mr. Remmert’s eligibility to serve on the canvass board has been challenged [by Clerk Hillery Hall]. Surely by now Remmert is an American Constitution affiliate. It seems to me that is critical to understand what is causing these transaction delays. Because of same day registration and voting, they may be symptomatic of a far reaching problem. The integrity of the ballot box, when using same day voter registration and voting, is predicated on trust that the voter registration records reflect real-time updates. If they do not, the election integrity exposure needs to be examined. Will you please see what you can find that would explain the delay in transaction processing. · Is Mr. Remmert the only individual that has had a problem with timely online voter registration accuracy? · Do the voter registration records used to perform the canvass reflect all transactions, or are others delayed as well? It might help your researcher to know that my personal online voter record does not reflect my ballot status. I voted in person at a VSPC. I expect that this online transaction would have been posted in real time. If in-person voting transactions are not posted in real time, can one go to a second VSPC and illegally vote a second time? I do not see any basis for further challenge to Ms. Eberle’s appointment of Mr. Remmert to the canvass board. The issue of Remmert’s qualification is a distraction from important canvas board duty. He is a valuable asset to the board and should be welcomed with open arms. Perhaps Clerk Hall (Democrat) is still chapped that he was among the 4:3 2012 Canvass Board majority who voted to NOT Certify the 2012 Boulder County election. - DRM]
