You pretend to express sympathy for the children that were murdered in Newtown, but in the next sentence, you oppose any restrictions on the guns that killed them. If you have any compassion for the murdered children or any humanity, you will join the effort to rid our society of military assault weapons, whose only purpose is to kill large numbers of people. Stop using that site to facilitate the murder of children and other innocents by opposing any limitations on military weapons. Such advocacy has no place on a multi-partisan website. You and your colleagues have championed voter privacy, but at least four of your watcher reports include the names of voters whose signatures were being challenged, in spite of being approved by a bi-partisan team. This is a clear violation of the voter's privacy. To protect voter privacy, remove the voter's names. By the way, I am curious why you think that election issues are "not for children under the age of 26." I take 100% responsibility for design and content of the website. My opinions often offend, and apparently even outrage, those whose worldviews are differently oriented. No apologies; First Amendment and all that. C'mon, Paul, do you really think I am using the website to "...facilitate the murder of children and other innocents by opposing any limitations on military weapons."? Honestly, I thought some acknowledgement of that horrible day was appropriate. No one else has complained. Attached is a screen grab of the part of the web page which you find so offensively partisan. All those CCed are invited to review the evidence and reply for themselves. My intention always was to remove the entire "yellow ribbon" area soon after the new year. In doing so as planned (wait for it) I hope those whose feathers have been ruffled by its temporary presence can regain their composure, and without lasting trauma. The Watcher Reports included on the website are the sole product of their authors (also CCed). I will not alter their original work to please you - or anyone - even if I could. These Reports have been posted beginning mid-October 2012 and no one else has complained until now. As you know, the names of Mail Ballot voters are clearly printed on the outside of all Mail Ballot Return Envelopes. Hopefully you also know that an official Watcher is allowed to challenge any signature(s) regardless of the bi-partisan-ness of Signature Verification Teams. The Ballot contained (if any) in the BRE is never exposed during the Signature Verification (or Challenge) process. Of course you know that the names of those on the registered voter roles, and the names of those who vote by Mail or Early Voting, is a matter of public record. The alleged violation of "voter privacy" as your email asserts is a red herring and absolutely does not apply in this context. I confess that the reference to older children on the website is a partisan jab at Obamacare. I also thought it was subtly funny. Nevertheless, I will remove it also.
